We’re back and live on our website and start our new content with William & Mary defensive standout, Hristo Bustamante’s 2017 highlight tape! The recipient of the Tribe’s “Unsung Hero” award in 2017 definitely lived up to that with his strong play this past fall. Hristo started off his W&M career, after several years in the DC United Academy system and a short stint with the Arlington SA Strikers, by making 20 appearances and 6 straight starts to end the season, before the team fell in the CAA semifinals to Hofstra. Bustamante continued his strong play into the 2018 season starting in 18 of the teams 20 games, finishing the year with the 6th most minutes played for outfield players, while collecting a goal and 3 assists.

The Tribe enjoyed a very successful season last year making it to the NCAA Tournament, after winning a CAA Championship in dominant style (4-1 Win against UNCW), before falling to Columbia in the 1st round. Hristo and the team return ready for 2018 with a strong schedule matching them up against teams like Villanova, UNC, NC State, Loyola MD, Longwood, Maryland, Coastal Carolina, Old Dominion & Virginia Tech in their non conference schedule.
