Sam Moore (Richmond United) Commits to UNC for 2019!

Name: Sam Moore

Commitment:  North Carolina

Class: 2019

Current Club: Richmond United U16/17 USSDA

Why did you decide to commit to UNC?

UNC has been my dream school for as long as I can remember. My mom went there, and I’ve been a tarheel fan for my entire life. I had the right gut feeling while I was on campus, and my visit with the coaches was fantastic. Coach Somoano was extremely welcoming, and I got the feeling right then that he would be great to play for. Also, the winning culture there is something that I have wanted to experience for a long time, and something that I am eager to join!

What other schools were you considering prior to committing?

I was considering UNCW, Lehigh, Davidson, Tufts, and William and Mary along with UNC.

What made the difference between UNC and the other schools?

I think my longtime dream of going there was cemented by my visit there. After my time on campus and with the coaches I knew that was where I wanted to be.
